Cyber Monday

The internet's version of black friday is now officially deemed cyber monday. This year it was estimated that the internet sales drew in more than $52 billion. Considering last year's profits-only$200 million. Since the economy slipped, many people just really needed to find the best deals out there for Christmas this year.

Black Friday

Many people with the idead in their mind were looking towards the sales going on on black friday. A ton of places opened at midnight on Thanksgiving to up their competition. Although a lot places were opened there seemed to be a lot less violence than in past years. There was only one incidence at a Walmart in California where a young woman got trampled. For the most part, I would say this year's black friday has been one of the most successful shopping days in awhile.

Bank of America

Bank of America wanted to put a $5 fee charge when using their debit cards. Today, they took out the fee charge because so many people changed their accounts with them. Another reason they stopped charging the fee is because there was a petition signed by over 200,000 people to get rid of the fee.

German Satelitte

A satellite from Germany has crashed from it's almost 10 years up in space. Before the satelitte crashed, it was circling the earth every 90 minutes, so it was not expected to crash anytime soon. Some are concerned that the next satelitte will land in a populated area where it might hurt people, so they are being very strict on locating each and every satelitte they send out. Scienctists predicted that it landed somewhere as far as China but as close as the Indian coast. Although, they have not confirmed that whereabouts, they are determined to find it the ocean sometime later this week.

Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs is the reason we have the all the amazing gadgets like the iPod and the iPhone. Sadly, he passed away after battling cancer for over 6 years. Steve Jobs was looked to as the Albert  Einstein of our time. He had a vision of what Apple would be like in the future when everyone else thought he was crazy. He has been working for Apple since the late 70's but got fired later on. As he said in one of his speech's, "Find what you love to do the most and stick with it". So, he followed his own dream. He stayed in the technology industry and worked for the companies Next and Pixar, where he would meet his future wife, and eventually got another opportunity to work at Apple again. Steve Jobs was an amazing man whether he was fighting a cancer battle or creating the best technology anyone has ever known.

Stock market hackers

It was said that the a group of anonymous people will hack into the stock market on Monday, October 10 around 3:30 pm. They have no motivation for doing it other than to just mess with the stock market and say they deleted it from the internet. While the F.B.I. is investigating the case they still have no idea who this group is or why anyone would want to delete the stock market. Some think it could be a possible terrorist attack, but over the internet.

Obama Sucks

As most of you have heard, Obama plans to cut millions, even billions of dollars in national spending. Although he says he has a "plan" for the cut he clearly has not executed it very well. He wants to create jobs but yet he still wants us to use foreign companies to do our dirty work, therefore, costing us more money. For example, the San Franscico bridge could have put 3,000 people to work but he chose to havea chinese company to do because it would cost less and they would get it done sooner. If he isn't careful, he could be easily called a hypocrite. He also wants our products to be made in the U.S.A instead of China and other foreign countries. Yet most of the people starting a new small business have gone to foreign countries to start them because they cost less. Even though he plans on taxing them, it would probably still cost less than what it does here. If he runs for re-election for 2012, he can definately not count on my vote for him.

Shutting down?

I was going through my daily ritual of looking at the interests tabs on Yahoo and I saw that the government wants to shut down the postal services..they're kidding right?? How can they seriously shut down the post office? That's like cutting everyone off from their phones. It's a rediculous idea. The postal service has played such a major part in our society. The reason they want to shut down is understandable though. The postal service has such a huge debt right now that if they don't pay the however many millions of dollars they owe by the end of the month, they most likely will be closed down. My question is what happens to all the mail? How does this affect the pricing to send a letter? How will this affect online shopping? All in all,I feel the government definatley need to come up with a better solution.
